Police are looking for a man who made off with three pieces of jewelry after robbing two teenagers in Valley Stream on Friday night, Nassau County police said.
The two female teens, ages, 15 and 16, were walking east on Merrick Road around 8:35 p.m. when they caught the attention of the robber. As they walked passed him, the man grabbed the 16-year-old and “forcibly” snatched the necklace from her neck, police said. He then removed a necklace and ring from the younger teen, police said.
He fled on foot west on Merrick Road. The girls were not injured.
He is being described as a black male in his 30’s and wearing dark clothes.
