A Levittown man has been accused of forging checks to steal more than $200,000 from victims’ bank accounts this month, Nassau County police said.
Luis Morales allegedly forged four separate checks from victims’ Bethpage Federal Credit Union checking accounts beginning March 1 while he was confined to critical care and incapacitated, police said.
The 40-year-old man was charged with grand and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
He will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
