Richard Finch: KC and the Sunshine Band’s Richard Finch Sentenced 7 Years for Sex Crimes

by Lindsay Christ on December 7, 2010

Richard Finch, former bassist for ’70s disco funk group KC and the Sunshine Band, was sentenced to seven years in prison for sex charges involving teenage boys.

The 56-year-old was found guilty in Licking County, Ohio of one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, three counts of importuning and seven counts of sexual imposition. The counts cover seven victims, and three were from 13 to 16 years old at the time.

According to court records, Finch told his victims “The music industry is all about sex and drugs.” He also threatened them by saying “If you tell your parents, they’re going to…freak out, they are older and they are not in the business.

Finch was arrested in March, and has been held since.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
