Long Island Election Results – Nassau / Suffolk

by Long Island Press on November 2, 2010

Long Island Election Results - Nassau County, Suffolk County
Here we are again: Election Day. Every year, the first Tuesday of November brings to light the concerns, the demands, the fears and the opinions of the nation. And this is especially true in midterm elections such as these. Needless to say, the Obama presidency has been divisive at points, and the political trends coming into this election suggest that the voices of the president’s critics will be heard loud and clear both in Washington and around the country.

The Tea Party may not be as prevalent on Long Island as it is elsewhere in the States, but that isn’t to say there aren’t plenty of tight, important and occasionally vicious races occurring here. Among the ones to watch most closely are Congressional races between Steve Israel and John Gomez, Carolyn McCarthy and Francis Becker, and—most notably—Tim Bishop and Randy Altschuler.

And of course, the results of these races—and every race on Long Island—will be featured right here, in this space, on LongIslandPress.com. So get comfortable. It’s gonna be a long night.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
