A true entertainment mogul, Mary J. Blige rules over a career that’s taken her far beyond singing songwriting: She’s expanded into acting, is an activist with a foundation for women in need, the CEO of her own label imprint and a celebrity with her own line of fragrances that she hawks on the Home Shopping Network. But first and foremost, she is the undisputed Queen of Hip-Hop Soul who toured with Jay-Z back in 2008 and has duetted with a wide range of partners including U2, Method Man, Eve, Nas, Lil’ Kim, George Michael and Chaka Khan. For the “Music Saved My Life Tour,” Blige will be dipping deep into her latest record, 2009’s Stronger with Each Tear, and may even be teasing fans with selections from the forthcoming, yet-untitled 10th CD she’s currently working on.
