Nor’easter To Bring High Winds And Heavy Rains

A nor’easter is expected to hit Long Island, late Thursday into Friday, bringing heavy rain and strong winds.

The National Weather Service said that the storm will bring heavy rain into the overnight and early Friday. One to two inches of rain can be expected. Meteorologists also worry that flooding may occur due to the fact that the ground is still saturated from the heavy rain storm on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

Strong winds with gusts as high as 50 mph are possible all the way into early Saturday. Forecasters also said that the wind gusts could be higher if the strong is larger and moves faster than expected.

Residents are encouraged to secure any items on their property that could be susceptible to high winds.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
