The Jets promising season has started off in dubious fashion: alongside injuries and some questionable comments there has been a degrading first week loss and sexual harassment allegations.

And now, there’s a drunk driving charge.

Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards was arrested at approximately 5:15 on Tuesday morning on Manhattan’s west side on charges of driving while intoxicated, according to reports.

“We are very disappointed in Braylon’s actions this morning,” said Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum in a statement. “We are reviewing the information with the league and will impose the appropriate disciplinary measures.”

This follows an incident in January, which took place in Cleveland, in which Edwards was placed on probation after pleading no contest to misdemeanor aggravated disorderly conduct, having been accused of punching a man outside a nightclub.

There are only 16 games in football’s regular season, but already, 2010/2011 is looking like a long one for the ballyhooed Jets.

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party.
