Mariska Hargitay aka Detective Olivia Benson on Law & Order SVU says she’s proud to be a size 8 and doesn’t get her self esteem from the way she looks.

“I think I’m a very attractive person, but I don’t put myself in the realm of the beauty…That’s not where I get my esteem,” she tells ShowbizSpy.com. “I’m a size 8, and I feel proud of that, because it’s healthy. I’ve never felt compelled to be a skinny actress. Being a sex symbol is not my thing; it’s not where I shine.”

While Hargitay plays a detective on TV, in real life Hargitay also runs the Joyful Heart Foundation, a foundation that supports survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse

Hargitay is heading to the new Los Angeles offshoot of Law & Order in the upcoming season and in the September 29 episode she focuses on a case based on a true story from a survivor who shared her story at Hargitay’s fundraiser.

“I’m so honored that the SVU writers see the value in telling this story,” Hargitay told TV Guide. “And it’s very cool how they’re weaving our two shows together.”

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
