Lisa Simpson Married August 1, 2010, According to 1995 Episode

Lisa Simpson, the smart and talented saxophone player, exchanged vows with Hugh Parkfield on Sunday afternoon at the Springfield Meadow.

Lisa’s wedding celebration was predicted in a 1995 episode of The Simpsons. Season 6 episode 19 was in-fact titled Lisa’s Wedding and it aired on March 19.

In the episode Lisa visits a carnival fortune teller who uses tarot cards to tell her future love story.The story fast-forwards to 2010 when Lisa is 23. She has an encounter and quarrel with Hugh Parkfield, a British student, over a book in the Eastern University library.

The two eventually fall madly in love and Lisa accepts to be Parkfield’s wife. Hugh Parkfield was played by guest star Mandy Patinkin.

Perhaps they served pink frosted dooo-nuts with colorful sprinkles for dessert to accompany the couples wedding cake.
