The 10 Worst Things To Get At A Long Island Drive-Thru

by Jaclyn Gallucci on July 28, 2010

When KFC debuted its Double Down sandwich—melted cheese and bacon stuffed between two pieces of fried chicken—some swooned, some gagged, many thought it was taking it way too far. But we doubt anyone thought it was worse than, say, a salad. Coming in at 540 calories, the Double Down didn’t make our list of the highest calorie foods you can get at a drive thru, but two salads did. See what else clocked in at 900 calories or more. Just like a bad accident—or a guy with a mullet—we couldn’t help but look.

10. TACO BELL’S CHICKEN RANCH/CHIPOTLE STEAK TACO SALAD
900-910 Calories, 54-57 Fat Grams, 65-70 mg Cholesterol
A crispy tortilla bowl filled with chicken or steak, beans, cheddar cheese, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, red tortilla strips, reduced-fat sour cream—which saves you all of 20 calories—and served with zesty ranch or chipotle dressing on the side.

9. BURGER KING’S BK QUAD STACKER
930 Calories, 65 Fat Grams, 190 mg cholesterol
Four layers—yes, four—of stacked beef and cheese topped with bacon and “sauce.”

8. BURGER KING’S A1 STEAKHOUSE XT BURGER
970 Calories, 61 Fat Grams, 15 mg Cholesterol
An extra-thick flame-broiled 7 oz. beef patty topped with mayo, fried onions, A1 Thick & Hearty Steak Sauce, plus cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.

7. TACO BELL’S VOLCANO NACHOS
1,000 Calories, 62 Fat Grams, 45 mg Cholesterol
Tortilla chips covered with refried beans, ground beef, melted nacho cheese sauce, red tortilla strips, cheesy “molten hot lava” sauce, jalapeños and topped with reduced fat sour cream to lighten things up.

6. KFC’S EXTRA CRISPY CHICKEN BREASTS (2)
1,020 Calories, 66 Fat Grams, 220 mg Cholesterol
Two white-meat chicken breasts coated with a flaky breading and fried.

5. WENDYS’ ¾-lb TRIPLE WITH CHEESE
1,030 Calories, 63 Fat Grams, 240 mg Cholesterol
Three-quarters of a pound of beef with American cheese and “the works.”

4. WENDYS’ BACON DELUXE TRIPLE
1,150 Calories, 73 Fat Grams, 265 mg Cholesterol
Three beef patties topped with four strips of smoked bacon and cheese plus lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup and mayo. Consider this The Baconator Lite. What’s The Baconator? Keep reading.

3. PIZZA HUT’S SUPREME PERSONAL PIZZA and BREADSTICKS
1,170 Calories, 43 Fat Grams, 80 mg Cholesterol
A cheesy blend of pepperoni, pork sausage, green peppers, red onions and mushrooms with three parmesan-laden breadsticks.

2. BURGER KING’S TRIPLE WHOPPER WITH CHEESE
1,250 Calories, 76 Fat Grams, 205 mg Cholesterol
Three flame-broiled beef patties with two slices of cheese, lettuce, mayo, tomatoes, pickles and onions—all on a toasted sesame seed bun. A side of Apple Fries will surely balance that right out.

1. WENDYS’ BACONATOR TRIPLE
1,360 Calories, 91 Fat grams, 305 mg Cholesterol
Coming in at No. 1, the worst single item on the menu, all fast food franchises included, is The Baconator Triple, pictured above. Three quarters of a pound of beef, three layers of smoked bacon, and three layers of cheese topped off with mayo and ketchup for a total of 1,360 calories—and that’s not including a side of fries and a drink.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
