A 60-year-old man was fatally struck by a car in his hometown of Ronkonkoma over the weekend.
Suffolk County police said William Matzelle was hit by an Infiniti being driven northbound on Ronkonkoma Avenue just south of the Long Island Expressway South Service Road at 5:02 p.m. Saturday.
The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The driver, 28-year-old Angela Jozwicki of Centereach, was was not injured.
The Infiniti was impounded for a safety check.
