A hit-and-run driver killed a 61-year-old man in Amagansett on Tuesday evening and now East Hampton Town Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect.
A driver found John Judge, of East Hampton, on the eastbound shoulder of Main Street near a parked car east of Hedges Lane at 7:52 p.m., police said.
The victim was taken to Southampton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators believe the vehicle that struck Judge sustained front-end damage before fleeing the scene.
