Celine Dion may have made her way back onto the music scene with a cover of “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele.
In recent years, Celine Dion retired herself to Las Vegas, as many other famous singers have done in the past.
But Dion made it clear she isn’t old news. “I love Adele so much, she’s amazing,” she told the Las Vegas crowd during a recent concert before the distinct beat of “Rolling in the Deep” began playing and the crowd erupted into cheers.
From the moment the “My Heart Will Go On” singer begins, the song sounds amazing. But her voice takes the cover to new levels when she belts out “We could’ve had it all.”
It wouldn’t be surprising if this cover goes viral and becomes Celine’s biggest hit in years. Though everyone’s known that Celine could sing like no other, she hasn’t exactly been know to have much soul in her singing.
However, not everyone was impressed with Celine’s version.
Jory commented on Gawker and said, “She sounds good, but she’s a cheese ball. Personally, I don’t hear any connection to the content, just a well-trained vocalist. But I’ve felt that about all her music, so I’m just a hater. I mean, this is the same woman you could pay a small fortune for tickets to watch her lip-sync a Vegas show.”
But GregorMendel said, “I had no idea Celine had a soul, until now.”
