A woman has been accused of stealing $250,000 worth of gold engagement rings from a Williston Park jewelry store.
Nassau County police arrested Lisa Lord on Tuesday and charged her with grand larceny.
Police said the 44-year-old Williston Park woman walked into Gold Heart Fine Jewelry on Hillside Avenue, reached over the counter while the sales person was in the rear of the store and stole the rings out of the display.
The store owner reviewed the surveillance video, recognized the suspect from previous purchases and called 911, police said.
Lord will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
