A pair of armed robbers tied up a 56-year-old man while robbing a Franklin Square jewelry store Wednesday morning, Nassau County police said.
One robber pointed a gun at the victim and tied his hands inside Philip and Sons Jewelry Store on Hempstead Turnpike while the other robber stole assorted jewelry from the display cases, shelves and safe at 9:40 a.m., police said.
The robbers also stole a .38 caliber Ruger before the duo fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The victim, who was alone in the store at the time, was not injured.
The first suspect was described as a 5-foot, 9-inch tall white man with a stocky build with brown hair. The second suspect was described as 6-foot, 1-inch tall black man with a slim build wearing a baseball cap. Both men were in their mid-20s.
