Everyone is celebrating New York Fleet Week including The Wildlife Conservation Society’s New York Aquarium.

The Coney Island aquarium is welcoming America’s Heroes – The U.S. Navy- this Memorial Day weekend with exciting diving demonstrations.

Teaming up with the Navy is nothing new for WCS. WCS has always been both family as well as military friendly, offering a military discount to members of the United States Armed Forces. WCS offers free admission to the Bronx Zoo and New York Aquarium.

From Friday, May 27th through Sunday, May 29th, the world’s premier combat force, Navy divers who support Explosive Ordnance Disposal will hold an exciting and educational diving exhibition at the aquarium and show off unique diving capabilities that keep America safe.

As always, aquarium-goers are invited to watch! And what a sight, expert divers showing off skills seen only on television like how to use open-circuit SCUBA and closed-circuit MK-16 re-breather diving systems. All of the week’s demonstrations will be narrated, and Navy officials will be available to answer questions from the public.

Divers in the U.S. Navy are members of the community in the Navy who are qualified in underwater open/closed circuit breathing apparatus, deep sea type diving apparatus and saturation diving. They are the foremost experts in all types of diving operations in the U.S. military and serve as the single resource managers for diving technical knowledge and training across the entire Department of Defense.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
