The discount home decor store HomeGoods will open two new locations in Nassau County this spring, the company announced Friday.
HomeGoods will open in two former A.J. Wright clothing store locations, one in Hempstead Village Commons in Hempstead and the other in the Carmans Plaza Shopping Center in Massapequa.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to expand the HomeGoods footprint in Long Island and offer shoppers in and around Hempstead and Massapequa a unique selection of high-quality items for the home at price points for every budget,” said Richard Sherr, president of HomeGoods in a statement.
A.J. Wright stores were closed by The TJX Companies, the parent company of both chains, back in December, in order to convert several locations into their more profitable retailers like TJ Maxx, Marshalls or HomeGoods stores.
TJX says the stores will be remodeled and renovated before opening in May.
