by Rashed Mian on February 19, 2011

David Ricci

A Moriches man was arrested Friday for stealing $4,000 from a victim in a home improvement scam and for operating a business with a revoked license, Suffolk County police said.

David Ricci, who police said does not have a valid home improvement license, was paid $4,000 by a Brookhaven homeowner in April 2010 to repair a roof, police said. The 43-year-old man allegedly took the money and never returned to repair the roof, police said.

Ricci previously had a home improvement license under the company name Competitive Concrete but that license was revoked in 1989, police said.

Ricci has been conducting business under the company name, Ricci Services Ltd., police said.

He was charged with performing home improvements without a license and grand larceny.

He will arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip.

Detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone who may have been victims of Ricci to contact the Identity Theft Unit at 631- 852-6821.

Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party.
