by Rashed Mian on February 19, 2011

Vaughn Duggins scored a career-high 31 points to lead Wright State to an 82-56 rout over Hofstra on Saturday.

Duggins went 10 of 18 from the floor and made all 10 of his free throw attempts for the Raiders (18-12), who ended a three-game losing streak. N’Gai Evans finished with 12 points and seven assists.

Wright State went into halftime with a 33-26 lead. But the Raiders outscored Hofstra 23-9 in the first seven minutes of the second half, claiming a 56-35 lead on Vance Hall’s 3-pointer.

The Pride (18-10), who had their four-game winning streak snapped, never got closer than 18 points the rest of the way.

Charles Jenkins led Hofstra with 18 points, shooting 12 of 14 from the free throw line. Mike Moore had 14 points.

Wright State shot 45.6 percent (26 of 57) from the field for the game. The Pride made 33.3 percent (14 of 42) of their shots.
