Everyday something new is coming out about a possible trade of Carmelo Anthony, but then another story seems to come out to dispute an original report.

Now it is being reported that Anthony has no idea what people are talking about when it came out that New Jersey Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov was to meet with the Denver Nuggets star during All-Star weekend.

Anthony, speaking at a community service event in Los Angeles -the home of the 2011 NBA All-Star game- said there is “no meeting at all” scheduled with the New Jersey Nets, and their billionaire Russian owner.

Anthony said at the event: “If I was to meet with that guy (Prokhorov) to be honest I really don’t know what I would say,” according to the Associated Press.

Prokhorov told team executives last month to end drawn-out trade talks for the Denver Nuggets All-Star forward. Prokhorov’s spokeswoman insists nothing has changed with the impending NBA trading deadline, despite multiple reports of a possible meeting and/or deal.
