Charles Jenkins scored 23 points and Hofstra held on to beat Delaware 61-58 on Saturday.

The Pride (17-9, 11-4 Colonial Athletic Association) led 53-42 with less than 5 1/2 minutes remaining before an 11-2 run, capped by a layup from Jamelle Hagins, pulled the Fightin’ Blue Hens within two, 55-53, with 2:45 to go.

Jenkins scored the final six points for Hofstra, making 4 of 4 from the free-throw line in the final 16 seconds.

Delaware (11-14, 6-9), which trailed 31-20 at halftime and 43-30 with 13:44 left to play, never led and lost to Hofstra for the fifth straight time.

Devon Saddler scored 25 points and was the only player in double figures for Delaware, which has lost five straight overall.

Mike Moore added 17 points, Greg Washington 11 and David Imes grabbed 12 rebounds for the Pride, who remain alive for a first-round bye in the conference tournament.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
