An International House of Pancakes restaurant in Valley Stream has suffered “extensive damage” after a fire occurred there early Saturday morning, according to the Nassau County Arson Bomb Squad.

The fire was deemed non-suspicious, and no one was injured, officials said.

The fire was reported at about 6:30 a.m. after an employee reported to work at the IHOP, located at 180 E. Sunrise Hwy in Valley Stream, and turned on the grills. Shortly thereafter, smoke and fire began emanating from the area of the grills.

The restaurant’s employees called 911, at which point 75 fire-fighters and 10 pieces of apparatus arrived at the restaurant, police said.
