Cartoon Characters from the 80s: New Facebook Trend

The latest trend to hit Facebook has users putting their favorite childhood cartoon characters as their profile pictures.

The fad started in Greece and Cyprus in mid-November. There have been different explanations for why this is happening, but the most common is that it is supporting an end to child abuse.

Most of the characters have been from the 1980s and 1990s, but many people are putting up cartoon characters from other decades as well.
