Everybody loves a good celebrity roast, especially when a particular roaster stands out among the rest.

Wednesday’s Friars Roast of director Quentin Tarantino was not lacking in size. Celebrity roasters included Uma Thurman, Jerry Lewis, Eli Roth and Rob Schneider. However, it was a comic, newcomer Whitney Cummings, who stole the show.
Cummings was well received by the 2,270 audience members at the New York Hilton. Her jokes on white conservatives, Sarah Palin and Kathy Griffin received big laughs and cemented a successful future.
The comic was a guest on Howard Stern Thursday morning, where she explained that she apologizes ahead of time to the people who she roasts, including Joan Rivers, and promoted her upcoming pilot Intercourse with Whitney Cummings. She has been a frequent guest on Stern’s show ever since she placed second in his Funniest, Hottiet Chick Contest in 2008.
