Two Westbury men were arrested Tuesday for an assault that occurred in Hicksville early Sunday night.
Nassau County police said Sergio Garcia, 20, and Eduardo Chavez, 24, were involved in an altercation with an unidentified 30-year-old man on West Nicholai Street. Chavez punched the victim, threw him to the ground and slashed him with a folding knife from his pocket, police said. Gracia and Chavez then fled the scene.
Police said the victim did not seek medical help or notify police at the time of the altercation.
Garcia and Chavez will be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
