The Rally to restore sanity and/or fear has officially kicked off in Washington, D.C.

Tens of the thousands of people have already crowded the National Mall the area surrounding the Rally to restore sanity, and it looks like there’s no sign of stopping. According to records, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert’s permits max out at 60,000 people.

Rally to restore sanity and/or fear revelers are proving just as wacky and outrageous and one would expect. The Press‘ Timothy Bolger, who is at the rally shuffling around in the crowd, said that the sheer size of the crowd is overwhelming and slowing down traffic. Using a play on the ever-quotable Jimmy McMillan he tweeted: “Traffic is 2 dam high! Bus-mates gettin antsy.”

Be sure to check back for more of Tim’s updates live from the rally!

And while there certainly is a lot of fun and comedic undertones going around, don’t forget the point of the rally really is to help and draw attention to special issues. Stewart wants attendees to help restore the National Mall, which has a $400 million backlog of deferred maintenance. Colbert asked people to contribute to Donors Choose, which raises money for school supplies; proceeds from sales of rally merchandise also will go to the Yellow Ribbon Fund to help injured soldiers.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
