Elections 2010: Brian X. Foley

Foley, 52, served five terms as Suffolk legislator and two as Brookhaven supervisor before unseating 36-year incumbent Caesar Trunzo in 2008. One of two Democratic senators from LI, he faces a tough battle defending his party’s two-seat majority. He is chairman of the banking committee and sits on the education, commerce, higher education, crime, environmental, transportation and elections committees.
