Best of L.I. 2011: There’s Always Next Year…

by Long Island Press on October 28, 2010

By Anton Greengrass

Now and then, someone will come to our Best of L.I. poll with the intention to vote for his or her favorite business, only to learn that his or her favorite business…isn’t on the ballot.

So what do you do if that happens to you?

Well, first of all: Don’t despair. While there may not be time to get them on the ballot for 2011, the new year is almost here, and before you know it we’ll be accepting nominations for next year’s Best of L.I.!

And that’s where you come in.

It’s your job to nominate your favorites, to ensure that they’ll be considered for next year’s ballot.

So, starting on July 1, 2011, and running through Aug. 30, 2011, go to www.longislandpress.com/bestof, where you can nominate all your favorite businesses and people in all of our different categories! Once you have done so, tell all your friends to do the same—because the more nominations, the better chance a business has to be included on the ballot.

It’s the only way to be considered, so don’t miss out! And don’t neglect to be heard this year! Your vote counts!
