Jenna Von Oy Wedding: Blossom Star Marries

by Long Island Press on October 25, 2010

by Maria Vultaggio

Remember when oversized flowered hats were considered to be fashion-forward and it was cool to imitate “Whoa,” Joey Lawrence’s popular catch-phrase?

Since we’ve moved passed the tacky hats and whiny catch-phrase, the stars of the ’90s hit show Blossom are now grown up with one of them getting married.

Jenna Von Oy, 33, who played Blossom’s best friend, Six LeMeure, married her fiance Brad Bratcher, 39, on Oct. 10.

The two met at a wine bar in Nashville and Oy joked, “My mama told me never to meet a man at a bar—so I did!”

In a down-to-Earth, stay-at-home ceremony, the couple married in a garden outside of a bed and breakfast in Oy’s hometown of Newtown, Connecticut.

Friends and family danced the entire night and Oy stated, even though cliche, her wedding day turned out to be the best day of her life.

“We knew it would be a wonderful day,” she says. “But it was a blast—more fun than we ever expected!”

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
