Craig Ferguson Brings Stand-Up to Carnegie Hall

by Brad Pareso on October 23, 2010

Saturday 10.23
NYC
Craig Ferguson @ Carnegie Hall
881 Seventh Ave. 212-247-7800. $40-$65. 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

“Craig Ferguson! The guy from that late-night show!” Don’t be so naïve—yes, Craig Ferguson is the host of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He’s also drummed in a rock band, performed in several stage productions, bossed around Drew Carey for seven seasons on The Drew Carey Show, wrote three movies, voiced characters in films and on TV, penned two books and, yes succeeded Craig Kilborn to play second fiddle to David Letterman on CBS’ late-night talk show roster. And on top of all of that, Ferguson is a veteran of the stand-up routine. If an hour’s worth of the wit and insight of his opening monologues (and the unmistakable accent) sounds appealing, you know where to be Saturday.
