Princess Leia High During Star Wars: Carrie Fisher Admits Cocaine Use on Set

by Pilot Brown on October 18, 2010

Carrie Fisher…Princess Leia…cocaine…Star Wars…ice planet…snow…there’s a joke in there somewhere.

Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars trilogy, admitted to using cocaine during the filming of The Empire Strikes Back, the second Star Wars movie.

“We did cocaine on the set of Empire, in the ice planet,” Fisher told the Associated Press. “I didn’t even like coke that much, it was just a case of getting on whatever train I needed to take to get high.”

Carrie Fisher spoke to the AP while in Australia doing press for a stand-up comedy show based on Wishful Drinking, her autobiography.

She also said John Belushi—who knows a thing or two about drugs as he died of an overdose in 1982—even called her out on her addiction.

But Carrie Fisher does not blame her cocaine use and slowly growing drug addiction on Hollywood. Rather, she blames herself.

“It’s always been my responsibility,” she said. “If it was Hollywood (to blame), then we’d all be dope addicts.”

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
