Finnish textile designer Marimekko has opened a store within the Crate and Barrel store in NYC’s SoHo area. A store within a store? I feel like I’m shopping for a new bookshelf inside Inception.
Crate and Barrel and Marimekko have been partners for more than 40 years, but this marks the first time Marimekko has opened such a store.
The Marimekko space inside the SoHo Crate and Barrel is a 1,775-square-foot shop selling kids clothes, bedroom accessories and kitchen wares
Probably the only obstacle preventing tons of Manhattanites from descending on the new Marimekko store inside Crate and Barrel is: How will they lug new home goods back to their apartments? A question worth finding an answer to.
