Dane Cook: Half Brother Sentenced for Embezzlement

Dane Cook’s half brother was sentenced to five years in prison for stealing millions from the comedian while he was his manager.

Darryl McCauley, 45, pleaded guilty Wednesday to 27 counts of larceny, three counts of forgery and embezzlement. He is said to have written a check for $3 million to himself from the actor’s account. McCauley was Cook’s business manager from the early 1990s until he was arrested in December 2008. He began stealing from Cook in 2004.

McCauley is also ordered to make restitution to Cook, and must serve 10 years of probation following his release from jail.
