Boy, 16, Shot and Killed in Wyandanch

Suffolk County Police are investigating the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in Wyandanch early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to Lake Drive in Wyandanch at 3:07 a.m. and upon arrival they found 16-year-old Tyler Daniels lying in the street with a gunshot wound.

Daniels was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead shortly later.

The investigation is ongoing. Homicide Squad detectives ask anyone with information to call them at 631-852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
