Busty pop singer Katy Perry may not be right for Sesame Street, and she may not be ready for prime time, but her guest spot on Saturday Night Live’s season premiere last night was a positive for all involved.

Acting as the musical guest alongside Amy Poehler (of Parks and Recreation, and an SNL alum, herself). Along with performing, Perry spoofed the recent news storm in which she found herself caught up, regarding the choice by Sesame Street producers to axe her from that show, because her cleavage was deemed too risque for young children.

Perry played the fictional Maureen DiChico, a librarian being asked to dress more appropriately for her position working with small children, being interviewed on the SNL skit “Bronx Beat.”
