Lindsay Lohan Is Out of Jail

Let’s see, it’s been about 18 hours or so since Lindsay Lohan was thrown back in jail for a month-long sentence again, so she’s due to be released any second now, right? And right on schedule, Lindsay was released late last night from the Los Angeles prison she was ordered into by Judge Elden Fox just yesterday.

TMZ.com broke the news late last night at around 11:40 p.m. PST that Lohan (did you know she’s from Long Island?) had posted the $300,000 bail to get her out.

At first, Judge Fox had ordered Lohan to be held without bail, a move that elicited fist pumps and cheers across the country. But her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, filed a motion in the late afternoon seeking to obtain a bail sum. That motion was deemed fair by Judge Patricia Schnegg, an assistant supervising judge in L.A.’s courts who said because Lohan was in on misdemeanors, she had the option to be released on bail.

It’s not all party time for Lindsay yet, though: That alcohol-monitoring anklet she wanted a fashion designer to make for her is back on her lower leg. In addition, she can’t come anywhere near a liquor store or bar.

Lindsay Lohan heads back to court on Oct. 22, when Judge Fox will lay the smack down on the red-headed actress and decide what her punishment for failing her court-mandated drug tests last week will be.
