“Suffolk County State of Mind” Premiere Party

by Kaitlyn Piccoli on September 24, 2010

Friday 9.24
“Suffolk (County) State of Mind” Video Premiere Party @ Mulcahy’s
1702 Middle Country Rd. 631-696-1111. 9 p.m.

Throw Weird Al into a tanning bed and barber shop and you’ll get the boys behind “Suffolk (County) State of Mind,” Suffolk’s answer to “Nassau (County) State of Mind,” the viral parody of Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind.” While a parody of a parody may seem somewhat muddled, the Nassau/Suffolk rivalry has been one of the most interesting things to happen on the Island in a while. Up until now, it has been relegated to YouTube. But no more. The Suffolk team is taking it to the streets with a video premiere party at Mulcahy’s in Centereach—their home turf. Here’s hoping the Nassau guys crash the party and a rap battle ensues.

Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
