Labor Day: Labor Day 2010 On Fire Island [Photos]

by Kaitlyn Piccoli on September 6, 2010

While thousands of Long Islanders were stuck on the LIE in holiday traffic, a few decided to forgo the congested roads and hopped on a ferry to Fire Island to celebrate Labor Day.

With Hurricane Earl now a punchline, hundreds soaked up the sun and partied their way across the small island. Massive block parties formed with kegs in the street and DJs and bands providing the perfect end-of-summer soundtrack. As soon as it was over, and everyone had to reluctantly return to reality, the only thing on anyone’s mind was the anticipation of next year’s Labor Day party.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
