A Queens woman was arrested for stealing the identity and debit card information from an elderly man she cared for, said Nassau County police.
According to detectives, Cheryl Plummer, 26, stole the identity of a 94-year-old Lido Beach man to whom she provided home health care. Plummer also used the victim’s debit card information to pay several bills, including a traffic summons.
The man’s primary home care aide noticed the discrepancies in his bank account and alerted his family.
Plummer surrendered herself and was arrested on the spot. She will be arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
