Fortune 52: Loretta Rinaldo

by Beverly Fortune on September 1, 2010
Loretta Rinaldo

Loretta Rinaldo

President and Founder, Forgotten Friends of Long Island

We hear so many sad stories of animals in dire need of rescuing, and a great deal of them are abused and neglected. Some are left outside to fend for themselves through extreme weather, some suffer without food and water. There are thousands of unwanted pets abandoned at Long Island’s animal shelters. Many are old and infirm and these unwanted companion animals are euthanized, alone and terrified.

Long Island is also fortunate to have many people who care a great deal about animals and will go to enormous lengths to save the life of an innocent creature.

Loretta Rinaldo of Plainview is a registered nurse specializing in oncology at Sloan Kettering in Rockville Centre. To some, her job might seem depressing, but Loretta gets satisfaction from the knowledge that she is helping people get through a very difficult time in their life.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
