Man Suffers Severe Head Trauma in Brookhaven Head-On Collision

A Patchogue man is in in serious condition after a head-on collision Saturday evening in Brookhaven.

Suffolk County police said Ken Clark Jr., 21, was driving his Toyota westbound on Montauk Highwaywhen he crossed over the double yellow lines near Old River Road and Old South County Road. Driving into oncoming traffic, he collided with a Subaru being driven by 38-year-old Lori Miele.

Both drivers were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in East Patchogue. Clark is suffering from severe head trauma. Miele was treated for slight injuries.

The two vehicles were impounded for a safety check. Fifth Squad detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call them at 631-854-8552. All calls will be kept confidential.
