In more developing news about the American Idol show, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler will be replacing Ellen DeGeneres, who announced she was leaving the show after claiming it wasn’t a good fit, and Kara DioGuardi who TMZ.com reports was fired. The two will join Randy Jackson and the show will return to its three-judge format.

The news comes for Lopez just after cancelling a performance in Northern Cyprus for this month, due to negative press. The singer/actress was a guest mentor on the show in 2007.
While neither FOX nor Tyler have confirmed his new job, FOX is expected to make an announcement about the new ‘Idol’ panel during their presentation at the TCA conference on Monday.
Conflicting sources suggest that Lopez is reportedly replacing DeGeneres, while Tyler will be replacing DioGuardi, while others claim it is the other way around. This speculation comes after reports that if Lopez turns down the offer, DioGuardi will come back.
