President Obama’s interview has been well-hyped, with blogs and news stations buzzing for a few weeks. The View called the visit “unprecedented.” It marked the first time a sitting president has appeared on the talk show.
The visit was so important that it brought back co-host Barbara Walters, who has been on leave from the show recovering from heart surgery.

“We shouldn’t be campaigning all the time,” said President Obama. He talked about vacationing in Maine with First Lady Michelle and their two daughters, and also touched upon heavier points such as the economy and the war in Afghanistan. The President also joked about how clueless he is when it comes to pop culture, claiming he didn’t know Snooki is.
