Hot off the heels of her Madison Square Garden show earlier this week, Gaga performed in her hometown on the Today show for nearly 20,000 of her Little Monsters—a record turnout for any concert ever held in Rockefeller Plaza.
Fans started lining up more than 30 hours in advance, some coming as far as Europe to catch a glimpse of the mega-star. Gaga had pizzas delivered to those who waited overnight and tweeted well-wishes to them.

“Thousands of precious lil monsters are sleeping in street outside TodayShow. May NY watchover u, + may u sleep smiling under the stars. Amen,” she tweeted.
The songstress performed several songs, including Gershwin’s “Someone To Watch Over Me” and a yet-to-be-released single “You and I.” In true Gaga fashion, she sported many looks, including all black and all white ensembles, as well as Elton John-like shades.
During her final song, “Teeth,” Mother Nature, as though conspiring with Gaga herself, unleashed a shower directly over the stage.
Gaga, ever the showgirl, embraced the rain, singing “Let it rain. Let it pour. You can’t stop us.” She rolled on the drenched stage and howled into her mic:
“Thank you, New York. I love you. Thank you for changing my life and making my dreams come true.”
