Uniondale Shooting Leaves One Dead

A victim was fatally shot early this morning in Uniondale and an investigation is ongoing, Nassau County police said.

At 12:53 a.m. Sunday morning, officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification at 544 Southern Parkway. Upon arrival, they discovered one victim fatally shot and two other victims with non-life-threatening injuries.

After further investigation, the officers discovered the two victims with non-life-threatening injuries were not shot on Southern Parkway and were injured in separate locations.

The victims were all transported to undisclosed hospitals in the area.

First Squad and Homicide detectives are investigating. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
