Levittown Man Arrested for Knifepoint Robbery

by Patrick Kelton on June 5, 2010

A Levittown man was arrested Friday for robbing another man at knifepoint, Nassau County police said.

According to Eighth Squad detectives, Shaquan Hinson, 22, and a 20-year-old male victim were at the handball court on Wantagh Avenue and Sprucewood Drive when Hinson produced a pocketknife, put it to the victim’s face and demanded his wallet.

The victim complied and Hinson then fled the scene with the wallet on a bicycle, detectives said. Subsequent investigations led to his apprehension in the vicinity a short time later. There were no injuries reported.

Hinson is charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and will be arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
