Kelley Blue Book (Googlers take note: Kelley Blue Book, not Kelly Blue Book) has announced its top green car picks for 2010. Leading the pack is Toyota’s Prius, now in its third generation of getting great gas mileage and looking like it had a head-on collision with the Ugly Tree.

The Prius is an interesting choice amid the millions of recalls Toyota Motor Company has issued in the past months, it being one model at the forefront of the company’s accelerator woes. Although the 50 mpg the Prius achieves is impressive, it also was noted for navigation and use of solar panels.
Ford is the only US automaker to appear twice on the list, with the Fusion Hybrid taking the bronze and Escape Hybrid placing sixth. GM places last with the Chevy Tahoe Hybrid while Chrysler fails to make any appearance.
The remainder of the list is as follows:
2. Honda Insight Hybrid, with 41 mpg combined
3. Ford Fusion Hybrid, with 39 mpg combined
4. Volkswagen Golf TDI, with 34 mpg combined
5. MINI Cooper, with 32 mpg combined
6. Ford Escape Hybrid, with 32 mpg combined
7. Honda Fit, with 31 mpg combined
8. BMW 335d, with 27 mpg combined
9. Toyota Highlander Hybrid, with 22 mpg combined
10. Chevy Tahoe Hybrid, with 22 mpg combined
