A Freeport man was arrested for possessing and selling heroin and for carrying a handgun on Friday, Nassau County police said. 
Roberto Vidal, 34, reportedly sold heroin on several occasions between Feb.20 and March 1 2010. When he was arrested, police also found a loaded handgun under the center console of his car.
Vidal was charged with three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon. He will be arraigned today at First District Court in Hempstead.
