Is Oheka Castle hiring?

First Kevin Jonas, now Derek Jeter.

There was a time we couldn’t wait to stop waitressing. Now, we’re thinking it may be worthwhile to start picking up weekend shifts. Derek Jeter–who waved to us once at a ticker tape parade, a sign that he was waiting for us–is reportedly getting married at Oheka Castle.

Not cool man.

The New York Post reports Sunday that the star shortstop and girlfriend Minka Kelly will be married Nov. 5 at the Long Island castle. Acting on a tip, a reporter posing as a bride-to-be spotted an entry reading “JETER wedding” on the calendar for the Oheka Castle in Huntington.

SI.com’s Jimmy Traina confirms the report saying, “I can tell you that the Post’s report is accurate. The ironic thing is that I was told the couple and the catering hall were haggling over certain security/privacy issues for a while before all the plans were finalized. It looks like Jeter and Kelly were right to be concerned.”

But NBC Sports’ Craig Calcaterra says the Post has the wrong Jeter.

“I’m hearing word that the whole Derek-Jeter-getting-married thing is baloney. The story: it’s Derek Jeter’s sister Sharlee Jeter,” Calcaterra says.

Oheka Castle sales manager Rick Bellando insisted that a celebrity wouldn’t be listed under his real name when the reporter pointed it out.

But we know better.

And Derek, as long you still play for the Yankees and we still have a camera with a 30x zoom lens–we forgive you.
