Three people were assaulted during an armed home invasion burglary in East Patchogue early Tuesday morning, Suffolk police said.
At least four masked men, all armed with handguns, broke into a Washington Avenue home and demanded cash from four people who were inside at 3:10 a.m., police said.
The suspects assaulted three victims and pistol-whipped one of them before the assailants stole cash and fled in a dark-colored vehicle, according to 5th Squad detectives
The victims were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where they were treated and released. No shots were fired.
